From exploring the bustling cities of Casablanca, Rabat, and Fez to trekking through the Sahara Desert and the mountains of the Atlas, this itinerary is packed with experiences that are sure to leave you with unforgettable memories. Join us as we discover the magic of Morocco and its vibrant culture, history, and cuisine.
Day 1: Marrakesh - Discovering The City's Beauty
Marrakesh, the “Red City” of Morocco, is a vibrant and colorful destination that will leave you spellbound.
On day one, your tour guide will take you to the magnificent Bahia Palace. Built in the late 19th century, this palace is a true masterpiece of Moroccan architecture, with intricate details and stunning gardens. The palace was built for a wealthy Moroccan nobleman, and its beauty and grandeur will leave you in awe.
Next, you’ll visit the Jardin Majorelle, a stunning botanical garden created by the French painter Jacques Majorelle. The garden is filled with vibrant bougainvillea, palm trees, and other exotic plants, making it a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. The garden is also home to a museum dedicated to Berber culture, showcasing traditional textiles, jewelry, and other artifacts.
Your tour will then take you to the Koutoubia Mosque, the largest mosque in Marrakesh and one of the city’s most iconic landmarks. With its towering minaret and intricate design, the mosque is a testament to the beauty and craftsmanship of Moroccan architecture.

Day 2: Marrakesh - Immerse In Culture & History
On day two, your private tour will take you deeper into the cultural and historical heart of Marrakesh. Your first stop will be the Saadian Tombs, the final resting place of the members of the Saadian dynasty. The tombs, which date back to the 16th century, are a stunning example of Moroccan architecture and have been beautifully restored to their former glory.
Next, you’ll head to the heart of the city, the Medina and its bustling souks (markets). Here, you’ll be able to wander through the narrow streets, admire the traditional architecture, and perhaps even purchase a unique, handmade souvenir. Your guide will be on hand to help you navigate the maze of streets and alleys and give you an insider’s perspective on the culture and customs of the city.
Another must-visit destination is the Marrakech Museum, located in the historic Dar Menebhi Palace. The museum showcases the rich history and culture of Marrakesh and Morocco, with exhibits of traditional textiles, ceramics, and other artifacts.
Your tour will then take you to the El Badi Palace, a ruined palace that once served as the residence of the Moroccan sultans. Although the palace is now in ruins, its impressive size and location on a hill overlooking the city make it a popular destination for visitors.
Finally, you’ll visit the Menara Gardens, a beautiful oasis just outside the city. The gardens are dotted with olive trees, citrus groves, and a picturesque pool, making them the perfect place to relax and take in the beauty of Marrakesh.

Day 3: High Atlas Mountains Villages & Trekking
Your tour of the High Atlas Mountains will start with a morning meet-up with the guide in Marrakech, who will take you on a scenic drive through the foothills of the Atlas Mountains to Imlil, a traditional Berber village nestled at the base of Mount Toubkal.
Upon arrival in Imlil, you will have the opportunity to visit the local market and see the traditional homes of the Berber people. The market is a bustling hub of activity where you can see local vendors selling everything from spices and textiles to handmade crafts and souvenirs.
After exploring the village, you will start a 2-3 hour hike to Toubkal Refuge. This hike takes you through stunning landscapes dotted with terraced fields and orchards, surrounded by towering peaks and snow-capped summits. The trail is well-trodden and relatively easy, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding high Atlas Mountains.
Once you arrive at Toubkal Refuge, you will have the chance to relax, unwind and enjoy a warm meal before settling in for the night. The refuge is a rustic mountain hut offering basic accommodation and facilities, providing a unique and authentic mountain experience.
Day 4: Mount Toubkal Hike
Start the day with an early morning ascent to the summit of Mount Toubkal. This is a strenuous hike, but well worth the effort for the breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding high Atlas Mountains that await you at the top.
The ascent to the Toubkal summit will take 4-6 hours and will be guided by a local mountain guide, who will ensure that you are safe and comfortable throughout the journey. The trail is steep and rocky but well-defined and relatively straightforward. Along the way, you will pass through picturesque alpine landscapes and cross snowfields, surrounded by towering peaks and glistening glaciers.
Once you reach the summit of Toubkal, you will have the chance to take in the breathtaking views and enjoy a well-deserved rest. From the top, you will have an unobstructed 360-degree view of the surrounding high Atlas Mountains, including the Toubkal Massif, the surrounding peaks, and the lush valleys far below.
After taking in the stunning views, you will begin the descent back to Imlil. This hike is easier than the ascent and will take 2-3 hours. Upon arrival in Imlil, you will drive back to Marrakech, where the tour will come to an end.
Day 5 & 6: Merzouga & The Sahara Desert
The drive to Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert, takes approximately 5-6 hours from Marrakesh. The journey is scenic, passing through rugged landscapes and quaint Berber villages. On arrival in Merzouga, prepare for a journey into the heart of the desert.
Camel Trek to a Desert Camp
At the edge of the desert, hop on a camel and embark on a leisurely trek through the towering sand dunes. Your destination is a traditional desert camp set in the middle of the desert, where you’ll spend the night. The camel ride takes approximately 2 hours and provides stunning views of the desert landscape.
Activities in the Desert
At the desert camp, spend the evening taking part in a range of activities, including stargazing, sandboarding, and more. With no light pollution, the night sky is a spectacular sight, and the desert’s sandy slopes are perfect for sandboarding.
Accommodation Options in the Desert
The desert camp offers various accommodation options, from traditional Berber tents to more luxurious options. Whether you choose to rough it or prefer a more comfortable stay, you’ll experience authentic desert life and wake up to the stunning views of the surrounding sand dunes.
Day 7: First Day In Fez
Meet at the hotel for pick up and transfer to Fez in our luxurious air-conditioned vehicle:
Your first destination today will be the Royal Palace (Palace of the King). The palace is a stunning example of traditional Moroccan architecture and is surrounded by lush gardens. Although you cannot enter the palace, the exterior is a sight to behold, and the nearby gardens are a perfect spot for taking photos.
After visiting the Royal Palace, your private guide will take you to Fes El Bali, the old town of Fez. This area is a labyrinth of narrow, winding streets lined with shops, stalls, and homes. The old town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is a must-visit for anyone visiting Fez.
During your tour of the old town, you’ll visit the Bou Inania Madrasa, a 14th-century Islamic school and one of the few madrasas in Morocco that is still functioning today. You’ll also visit the Al Attarine Madrasa, another Islamic school known for its intricate zellige tile work and cedar wood carvings.
Your last stop in the old town will be the Kairaouine Mosque, one of the largest and oldest mosques in Africa. The mosque is not open to non-Muslims, but the exterior is impressive, and the adjacent square is a hub of activity, making it a great place for people to watch.
After exploring the old town, you’ll take a break for lunch. Your guide will take you to a traditional restaurant, where you’ll enjoy a delicious meal of authentic Moroccan cuisine.
After lunch, you’ll visit one of the famous tanneries in Fez, where leather goods are made using ancient techniques. You’ll learn about the process of tanning leather, from soaking and dying the hides to finishing and stitching the leather into bags, shoes, and other goods.
Your next stop is a traditional ceramic and pottery workshop, where you’ll see the process of making pottery by hand. You’ll have the opportunity to purchase some of the beautiful pottery pieces made at the workshop.
After visiting the ceramic workshop, you’ll return to your hotel, where your guided tour of Fez will come to an end. You’ll have the rest of the day to explore Fez on your own or relax at your hotel.
Day 8: Fez Continued
A guide will pick you up from your hotel and take you on a journey through the city of Fez.
The Moulay Idriss Mausoleum is a sacred site located in the heart of Fez. The mausoleum is dedicated to Moulay Idriss, a revered figure in Moroccan history that is believed to have brought Islam to the country. You’ll learn about the religious and historical significance of this site and its role in the city’s development.
Your guide will then take you to The Heri es-Souani, the Royal granaries of the Almohad dynasty, and they offer a unique glimpse into the engineering and architecture of ancient Morocco. You’ll learn about the history of the granaries and see their impressive size and design.
After visiting the granaries, you’ll take a break for lunch at a traditional restaurant in Fez. You’ll have the opportunity to sample some of the delicious local cuisine and rest before continuing on your tour.
Continue exploring the best of Fez at The Dar Batha Museum, dedicated to the history and culture of Fez. You’ll see a collection of traditional crafts, textiles, and ceramics, as well as learn about the history of the city and its cultural heritage.
Explore the Fez Mellah, the former Jewish Quarter of the city, it is known for its narrow, winding streets and traditional architecture. You’ll explore the streets of the Mellah, see the traditional homes and shops, and learn about the history of the Jewish community in Fez.

Day 9: Rabat Guided Tour Itinerary
Your tour guide will meet you at your hotel to begin the day’s adventures. The guide will provide a brief overview of the day’s itinerary and answer any questions you may have.
Your first stop is the Royal Palace of Rabat, a stunning example of traditional Moroccan architecture. The palace is the official residence of the King of Morocco, and the exterior is a sight to behold. Although you cannot enter the palace, the gardens and the surrounding area are the perfect spots for taking photos.
After visiting the Royal Palace, your next stop is the Chellah Necropolis, a Roman and Islamic archaeological site located on the outskirts of Rabat. The site contains the ruins of a Roman city, a mosque, and a palace, and it is a fascinating example of the blending of cultures that have taken place in Morocco over the centuries.
Your private guide will then take you to the Hassan Tower and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V. The Hassan Tower is an incomplete minaret that was once part of a mosque, and it offers stunning views of Rabat and the surrounding area. Your first stop of the day is Mechouar Square, the main square in Rabat. The square is surrounded by historic buildings and is a popular gathering place for locals and tourists alike. From Mechouar Square, you’ll have a great view of the Royal Palace and the Hassan Tower.
After visiting Mechouar Square, you’ll drive to the Bou Regreg River, which runs along the border between Rabat and Sale. From the river, you’ll have stunning views of both cities, and you’ll learn about the history of the region and its significance in Moroccan culture.
You’ll explore the Sale Medina, a historic city that has been inhabited since the 12th century. The Sale Medina is known for its narrow streets, traditional architecture, and vibrant markets, and it is a great place to experience the sights and sounds of traditional Moroccan life.
Visit the Sale Citadel, a historic fortification that was built in the 17th century to protect the city from invaders. The Citadel offers stunning views of the Bou Regreg River and the surrounding area, and it is a fascinating example of the military architecture of the time.

Day 11: Casablanca Guided Tour Itinerary
Your tour guide will meet you at your hotel to make the 1-hour journey from Rabat to Casablanca to begin the first day of your Casablanca adventure.
The first destination to explore with your private guide is the Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world and a stunning example of Moroccan architecture. The mosque was built in the 1990s and is known for its impressive size, intricate details, and sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean. You’ll have the opportunity to tour the mosque and learn about its history and significance in Moroccan culture.
You will then explore the Old Medina of Casablanca, a historic neighborhood that has been inhabited since the 18th century. You will also have the opportunity to enjoy a traditional Moroccan-style lunch in the area.

Your final destination on your first day in Casablanca will be the Museum of Moroccan Judaism, dedicated to the history and culture of the Jewish community in Morocco. The museum contains a wide range of artifacts and exhibits, including textiles, ceramics, and metalwork, and it is a fascinating look at the cultural heritage of the region.

Day 12: Casablanca Continued

Day 13: Tangier

After your lunch, your guide will take you to The Mendoubia Gardens, located in the heart of Tangier. The gardens are a peaceful oasis amidst the bustling city. The lush, well-manicured gardens are filled with tall palm trees, fragrant flower beds, and serene fountains.
Visitors can stroll along the winding paths, stopping to admire the various species of plants and flowers and listening to the soothing sounds of water features. Day 14: Caves of Hercules & Airport Transfer
Starting the day with a guided tour of the Caves of Hercules in Tangier is a simply unforgettable experience.
The caves are located just outside the city and are believed to be one of the earliest known human settlements in Morocco. The caves are accessible by a short hike, and the journey there offer stunning views of the coastline and the Mediterranean Sea.
